Titanium Concentrate

Titanium concentrate is usually referred to ilmenite, black grain with a metallic luster. According to the origin, it is divided into rock ore and placer ore. Titanium concentrate in rock ore often co-exists with magnetite and vanadium titanium magnetite; titanium concentrate in placer ore often co-exists with zircon sand, rutile and monazite. Our company is mainly engaged in placer mining. Placer belongs to secondary ore, which is formed by years of erosion, weathering, river impact and deposition. The placer ore is relatively loose in structure and high in quality, generally containing more than 50% TiO2. Placer ore is mainly distributed in coastal areas and inland river basins of tropical and subtropical humid . The main origins are Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and others.

Application of Titanium Concentrates

1. Titanium concentrate for deep processing is mainly for the production of titanium dioxide, which is a white pigment widely used in modern industry including coating, plastic, ink, and paper. In addition, titanium dioxide is also used in cosmetics, chemical fiber, electronics, ceramics, enamel, welding rod, alloy, glass and other fields.

2. Titanium concentrate is used for the production of titanium metal, as titanium alloy additives. Titanium and titanium alloys are indispensable materials to manufacture modern supersonic aircraft, rockets, missiles and space shuttles.

3. Titanium concentrate is used for production of artificial rutile and high titanium slag, which are used in welding materials manufacture, chemical industry and other industries.
